Taking on a Quest for Justice
Appliedinfo Produces a One-Hour Documentary on Equal Justice for the Impoverished
Somerset, NJ Appliedinfo Partners, Inc., a nationally recognized leader in technology and communications solutions, produced Quest for Justice, a one-hour video documentary that highlights the crucial work of Legal Services of New Jersey (LSNJ).
LSNJ is a non-profit organization that provides essential, free legal aid to low-income people in all 21 counties of New Jersey. Appliedinfo Partners is a proud supporter of LSNJ and took on the challenge of raising funds to tell the LSNJ story.
The result is a documentary that underscores LSNJ's underlying premise without equal access, there is no equal justice. In addition to the expertise of Legal Services' staff, Quest for Justice features interviews with federal judges; Deborah Poritz, chief justice of the New Jersey State Supreme Court; and Nicholas Katzenbach, former US attorney general.
"Appliedinfo Partners has discovered a story that desperately needs to be told,"said Tom Makin, director of development, LSNJ. "We are grateful that so many New Jerseyans will now better understand our work and appreciate the tremendous challenge of what remains to be done on behalf of the impoverished of our state."
"Appliedinfo Partners is happy to tell the story of a worthy institution like Legal Services of New Jersey," says Appliedinfo Partners president, John T. Lau. "I believe Quest for Justice will lead to better understanding of the issues of our states disadvantaged communities."
Quest for Justice aired on Thursday, January 23 at 9:00 p.m. on New Jersey Network (NJN), the state's public television station. National release of the documentary through PBS is now pending.
