Veteran entrepreneurs, Betty and John Lau, have become experts in predicting industry trends. It is their intuitive foresight that has enabled the husband and wife team to continuously grow and succeed.

Nearly 15 years ago, the team founded Applied Information Services, Inc., an organization focused largely on developing database-driven applications. While the company saw much success with clients like Pfizer and Johnson & Johnson, its greater growth has been achieved through long-term dedication and planning toward a singular vision – providing a seamless portfolio of quality, innovative services that incorporate technology, communications, and diversity.

With the idea in mind of revolutionizing the way their clients tracked diverse suppliers, the Laus put their engineers to work on the development of DivTRAK®, the first comprehensive software tool to Manage, Measure, and Market™ supplier diversity programs. The product was launched in 1999. And with the success that often comes with being first-to-market, Applied Information Services grew to become a leading provider of data-driven Web solutions and supply management software for clients such as Pepsi, Johnson Controls, and Cendant Car Rental Group.

Having addressed customers' diversity and technology needs, the Laus set their sights on providing complementary communications services. In early 2002, the team from NYD2, an award-winning marketing, communications, and technology agency, joined Appliedinfo Partners, Inc. With the added competencies of marketing, design, and communications, Appliedinfo Partners was now able to offer its customers multi-faceted technology and communications solutions to their business needs.

With the addition of Appliedinfo Technology in 2003, the Laus completed the loop. A leading business-to-business procurement outsourcing company offering over 100,000 software and hardware products and peripherals, Appliedinfo Technology is an authorized distributor of IBM, HP/Compaq, Lotus Notes, Microsoft, Oracle, and Oki Data, among others.

As a reflection of its growth and broader focus, Applied Information Services, Inc. changed its name to Appliedinfo Partners, Inc. Under the new name, Appliedinfo Partners serves as a unifying organization for DivTRAK, D2 Creative, Appliedinfo Services, and Appliedinfo Technology. The name demonstrates our continuing commitment to partner with our customers, suppliers, employees, and community at large. It is the strength of these partnerships that will be the basis for the company's continued success and growth.
